Well, we slept in too late to hitch out, so that settled things for us. Our host tried to book the bus tickets online, but something was looking odd so we ended up going to the station after printing the tickets at his Uni.
Sure enough, they were there but our names were not on the list, so they gave us new tickets (only 5 left!) so our host got a deal I think :) We now had two extra days in this city instead of going to Floh's hometown! Floh was bummed understandably, but we tried to make the best of things by meeting up with one of his friends that was in town.
We met up with her and a few of her friends in a cafe. They were about to leave to go walking, so we came with them :) We went to the big park nearby, and saw a bunch of animals! They had seals there:
Black swans
Of course since we were in Sweden we saw MOOSE!!!! This is taken from really far away though, I couldn't get it to come closer...
baby goats
non baby..
pony
So this picture is crap, but I liked the colours of the building. Ah well. We went to the supermarket, then came over and made dinner at Malin's beautiful flat! Daniel and one of his friends came over after, and then we all walked back to the student housing.
Malin had invited us to stay in the guest room for our last evening here, so we packed up our stuff and said goodbye to our host Daniel....
......and went to Malin's to drop our stuff off. We went shopping a bit, went in a museum
had a coffee after walking around a bit
I took this for my friend, but it's still entertaining because of the beefy Swedish guy
Soon we were tired and we had to get up at 3am so we went back to the flat and made some food, Malin and I played with camera lenses:
then we went to sleep as early as possible.
Getting up was so incredibly difficult. I was feeling almost sick walking down the street to the bus. We waited with a bunch of people there and soon we were able to sleep again once the bus was moving. It stopped in Copenhagen and we were outside waiting again for a bus from 7:30am to 8:30 am, then we were on the ferry at some point after that so there wasn't much opportunity to sleep after 7:30. I think I may have left my beloved mittens on the ferry or the bus in our daze :( I am still broken hearted!
The clouds were doing interesting things while we were on the bus, so I took some photos:
I don't know if it had to do with the volcanic ash or whatever, but they looked cool to me.
We came home to a house that looked awful, and Floh got really mad. I kind of expected there to be a huge mess and beer bottles still sitting there from the party etc, but he thought they would do something and freaked. It was time to find somewhere new to live.

Catchup: Gothemberg
We found our host's house in the middle of the night. We came in and went straight to sleep, so the next day we talked a little then went out exploring.
There were so many nice stores there we ended up going shopping. Floh is sporting a Chewie backpack here
I am completely blind without my sunglasses sitting on a penguin rock
They had crushed glass in this unusable cement part near a stairway, so I tried to see if the glittering would work on camera... I thought it was a nice way to make a boring thing colourful
That church was okay, but it was hard to impress me after that one in Copenhagen with the organ
I went in and peed in this boat, so I got to look through a porthole!
strange building
opera
Fox developing his Traveler's skill
its odd this area looked so much nicer in person than it's looking on camera...
we met up with our host Daniel in this area of town, and we walked to his University and got a tour. It was unbelievable! They had everything from a swimming pool to a gym etc. It was super swanky. Next we dropped by a supermarket and we made some food. Our flight to Floh's hometown was cancelled due to the volcano, so we had to research ways to get out of Sweden! I was in no mood to hitchhike after last time, so we were frantically looking up buses and trains and rideshares all evening. All of Europe was in chaos, so there were people stranded all over the place also looking for ways to get back. The only thing affordable was looking like a Monday bus at 3am to Berlin. It was 50 euro for a 12 hour trip.
This was a tough call, so we slept on it.
