I had found a ride to Munich leaving at four pm.
This gave me time to get my feathers, get a necklace I had traded for a hat pin, and buy a pastry that Nora had recommended from a fancy bakery.
I packed all my stuff, wrote everything down that was needed, and Garfield and Rodrigo were kind enough to give me a lift to the pick up spot! The driver, Irene, was held up so was about 20 minutes or so late, but we were soon on our way after picking up this other guy at a gas station.
The drive was..... fast.
Really fast!
I have never been in a car with no speed limit, and this person really liked to take advantage of that fact. This was driving well over 200k for quite a while. Even with traffic and starting late we still made it to Munich pretty quick. It was about nine thirty, and she was so kind to drop me off right outside the house I was staying at!
Tom let me in, and showed me where to put my bag. The flat was really cool :) We chilled out for a while as my palms got less sweaty from the drive, and his friend came over. We drank a beer or two and decided to check out the Irish pub under the block of flats.
I had Guinness for the first time in a while, and we ended up talking to a couple British people on the stools. The bartender actually was from Ireland, from Kilkenny! I was surprised, there are Irish pubs everywhere but you never expect people to actually be from Ireland.
The three of us ended up going to a bar down the street with the two Brits once this other bar was closing. I was invited back to Munich for Oktoberfest which I am still contemplating, but soon it was time to go... I was not expecting Munich to be an instant party!
I fell asleep on the floor after eating some food I think.

Last full day in Luxembourg...
This day also included a lovely lunch at the house! Nora and Rodrigo took over most of the cooking once they saw how bad I was at it, so I frantically checked my computer for couch responses. There was a ride leaving the next day from the German ride share website, so I wanted a response sooner than later to confirm the ride.
After lunch I was supposed to buy food for the dinner, but it was easier said than done. I ended up walking into town to see if I could retrieve my feathers from the stand, and ended up going to the supermarket in town. Unfortunately, they didn't have all the ingredients at all, and I experienced for the first time an angry french cashier that got pissed off because I was speaking in English. I knew it was prevalent but this was the first time it actually happened to me.
After this I went to meet Nora at a different supermarket. We found the ingredients and ate eclairs on the way back. Yummmm. Dinner was fun to make, and we took some fun pictures while we were cooking... I found a place to stay as well :)

The dinner was fantastic - I stuffed myself to button undoing levels hehe.
This was my last night here, so it was my last night to also see Jerome. We met up outside the house and went into the park right underneath for a while. I wasn't sure if we were going to be able to see each other before leaving, so I was happy that was possible. We said goodbye then I was upstairs to bed :)

MUDAM and Trier
So since Nora's dad had come home, it was time for me to switch house. He had renters, and she knew his limit on how long people could stay without becoming... renters. Rodrigo had offered his place, so I had to get up early enough to pack up and make it to his in time for lunch!
I just made it, and ate lunch with Nora and Rodrigo (Nora worked five minutes away) and settled in :) The MUDAM (Modern art museum) was free on Wednesday evenings, so I decided to go out there to check it out! I biked the whole way, which was tiring but good for me.
The museum was quite nice!

Those pictures are stained glass with x ray pictures and anatomical pictures on it... the whole section with that was decorated very gothic-style. It was nifty.
I got a call from Nora while at the museum saying that two friends and her were going to Trier for the evening, and they could pick me up on the way!
I said yes, so the next thing I knew I was off to Germany :)

It was very pretty - and cheaper than Lux. We had dinner on a terrace, walked around, ate ice cream, had a beer, but before we knew it it was time to go back!
We drove back and I was dropped off at Rodrigo's. His roommate let me in (Garfield) and I hung out until Rodrigo showed up and we all ended up on the terrace drinking wine. I ended up being awake for a while talking away, but eventually fell asleep :)

Trip to the Lake!
Okay so this day was super random!
I went into town to look at train tickets over to Munich, then contacted Christophe from CS since he said he had nothing to do that afternoon. We met up in the square, visited the vendor table, and decided to take a trip out of the city!!
we got a map from the tourist office of all of Luxembourg the country, picked a place, and got in the car!
The drive up was beautiful!

this was totally by accident:

There was a castle in this town (we passed a few extremely cute towns before as well!)

Eventually we found water!

we found a lizard too!

the lake:

I pretended to be a fish:

The ride back was also quite nice! Christophe convinced me to go to Arlon in Belgium (not very far away) for a Belgian beer and fries... this was tempting! I could take a train back for 1.50 Euro, so I agreed. My bathing suit soaked through my pants and shirt though, so I put on my towel and tried to dry my pants on the vent in the car ride to Arlon...

We made it there, bought the fries and went to the top of a castle looking thing!
The sun went down over the little city :)

after this was the beer!

soon enough it was time for me to get on the train... I made it back to the house in decent time, and went quietly to sleep :)
