I had found a ride to Munich leaving at four pm.
This gave me time to get my feathers, get a necklace I had traded for a hat pin, and buy a pastry that Nora had recommended from a fancy bakery.
I packed all my stuff, wrote everything down that was needed, and Garfield and Rodrigo were kind enough to give me a lift to the pick up spot! The driver, Irene, was held up so was about 20 minutes or so late, but we were soon on our way after picking up this other guy at a gas station.
The drive was..... fast.
Really fast!
I have never been in a car with no speed limit, and this person really liked to take advantage of that fact. This was driving well over 200k for quite a while. Even with traffic and starting late we still made it to Munich pretty quick. It was about nine thirty, and she was so kind to drop me off right outside the house I was staying at!
Tom let me in, and showed me where to put my bag. The flat was really cool :) We chilled out for a while as my palms got less sweaty from the drive, and his friend came over. We drank a beer or two and decided to check out the Irish pub under the block of flats.
I had Guinness for the first time in a while, and we ended up talking to a couple British people on the stools. The bartender actually was from Ireland, from Kilkenny! I was surprised, there are Irish pubs everywhere but you never expect people to actually be from Ireland.
The three of us ended up going to a bar down the street with the two Brits once this other bar was closing. I was invited back to Munich for Oktoberfest which I am still contemplating, but soon it was time to go... I was not expecting Munich to be an instant party!
I fell asleep on the floor after eating some food I think.
