BBQ day :)

I woke up in the Grund. It was so hot out! Eventually I walked back to the lift to get to the city center... and there was a huge crowd in the square...

There was a Catalonian celebration/festival going on!!!



Marcos was there with my stuff, so I dropped by on my way to getting some kebab - a very good hangover cure! I came back and ate it while watching people make human towers, perform some kind of Spanish play, dance around with the giant people... it was packed!

I still wanted to get to Nora's though, so I went to the bus stop, hopped on, and flopped right into bed. This Saturday Nora and I had been invited to three parties - two of them BBQ's and one music quiz birthday party. I definitely planned to sleep until I had to get up to start making the rounds...

The first BBQ was nice - one of Nora's brothers was there with his wife, and I recognized one or two people from the Chill n Grill :) We ate our salad and other food, had some juice, and after a few hours of relaxing in the yard we headed over to her other brother Simon's house, which he shared with his girl Naomi.




Their backyard had an amazing view. It was on the edge of a steep slope, and everything behind was forest! It was beautiful - the trees were everywhere and it was cool seeing the forest from a raised point... really felt like you were in there. We stayed there for a while also, but eventually it was time to check out the music quiz, since we could always come back here after...

The quiz was in the center. It took forever to start, which tried my patience, but once it started there was entertainment. It went by decade starting with the sixties... once it got to the 80's it seemed stuck there though and again tried my patience. There was a very drunk Belgian guy there that was going absolutely crazy! He would dance and get soooooo excited if he got the question (which he quite often did - his team was winning by a fair amount when we left) and would look absolutely mortified if he didn't.

Eventually this got old... especially since I wasn't even really drinking at all. Nora and I made our leave back to Simon's bbq. Unfortunately a lot of people had arrived and left, and some remaining people were very drunk, and I started feeling really sleepy all at the same time! Nora was also getting tired, so we headed back to the house and ended up falling asleep:)
