Ok so upon arrival we got busy. It was warm and beautiful out! My initial massage I was coming back for canceled due to the volcano...
But I had a couple massages, and pilates the next day. I ordered a mat on Ebay which is here now so I can practice!
One of our guests from Switzerland came back which was awesome, so he gave me tons of info on the country; Where to go, how to get around, etc. It was perfect timing too as I was literally perusing the net when he showed up! Fox also found a sleeping bag thanks to Floh...
Rene was having another BBQ in the garden on the weekend so we went to that in the meantime!
I had been to the dumpster, so my boots were finally able to be hosed off. No more icing covered boots!
nice lighting
Rene in his stylish BBQ apron hehe
I taught people how to roast marshmallows! Many had never tried, only seen it in movies
playing with hats
It was a good night!
On Monday one of our friends were having a farewell party! He was leaving back to Canada! It was sad since Clayton was cool and lived down the street :(
Here's Tau and Daan chillin
Clayton!

One of the days I went for Korean food with my friend Michel down the street, so now I know where to get Korean around here. Can't remember which day that was.
We went to visit Jonas again at some point to think about taking his extra room down the street. We had some wine, assessed the flat, and measured things. The room is the same size as Floh's but with a balcony and more rectangular than square. After some deliberation about the shower being in the kitchen and the lack of a living room, we decided it was still better than living in the End of the World. So we said yes!
Floh was really organized and found people to live in our flat super super fast! His room was taken the first day we had people looking at it. The second room was taken by a couple with a little dog. They made Fish soup on a gaming evening, and Floh ate some which is amazing since he hates seafood.
During this time I was planning a LOT for my upcoming trip with Erin as well!!!!
I was going a bit nuts being on the computer looking up prices etc, so I also started taking breaks looking around at new parts of Berlin in the warmth once things were a little more organized :)
Therefore the day after Clayton's party I went up to an area named Tegel since it was such a nice day.
Tegel is near an airport but on a lake, and has this quaint feel to it. Pedestrian streets lined with cafe's and ice cream - definitely a summer place
little did I know, Tegel is home to Berlin's oldest tree!! They even named it! If you can't read it, it's 900.
I gave it some tree love...
Here I am in a different tree :)
After I ate some Subway up in Tegel, I met up with Otto in Neukölln.
kitty!!!
I thought this looked like a sphincter hehe
This is an abandoned airport in the city!
We ended up walking enough for it to get dark. We heard music in a park and decided to check it out...
There was a fair going on! Otto had heard it being built but it was done :) It was packed, and cheap. So cheap in fact, we decided to go on the biggest ride there!
this is the ride we went on!! So much fun!
We met up with a couple others at a bar out there afterward, then it was time for me to head home!
Berlin was proving to be a lot of fun!
