I woke up and packed all my stuff - I had another bus journey but since I technically never made it to the bus station I had to find it! I told everyone I was leaving, and the family offered to give me a ride to the bus station which was nice :)
I took these on the balcony of the hostel:
So I got on a bus to Herceg Novi:
I had time before catching another bus to Perast (where I was staying) so I had a walk around the city as you can see. I had time to grab food and hot chocolate. I should mention that the hot chocolate here is not always what you think. Occasionally I get REAL hot chocolate - like thick type melted chocolate yummyness... It's sooooo goood! I drank/ate my chocolate and left for the next bus ride.
It was a minibus on this leg of the journey. It was dark by the time it left, so I got to see all the little lights along the fjord which was pretty. The bus stop was at the beginning of the town, which only had one road really. I walked down it and found a little cafe.
BUT on the way a car drove by and I went to get out of the way... Unfortunately I was blinded by the headlights so I thought I was stepping onto street but in reality I was stepping into... hole... so I bailed with the backpack on and the car stopped because I'm sure he saw the whole thing with a headlight-spotlight... but I was so surprised and embarrassed that I just got up and kept walking down the street without looking back at the car. I had a scraped knee and I felt like my chin might have something on it, but there wasn't.
My host was on his way back from another city, so I had at least an hour to kill. I had my book and pen though, and beer. I managed to kill the hour and something by drawing and drinking. Milinko, my host, met me there and after a beer we headed up to the house.
The house was a several hundred year old house. It had no heating, but it was still a tolerable temperature. I had a little rakia to help me warm up more, and then I watched a movie and fell asleep. After a full day of traveling it was easy to sleep...
