Dubrovnik Without Tourists

The weather was not holding up very well in this part of the world. Good thing was that it was warm at least. There was drizzle again, but I forced myself out for a walk in the afternoon. It seemed too weird to stay in ALL day on my first day! I'd helped the mom "peel" pomegranates (or whatever you would call getting the bits out!) for ages already, and it was sometimes a little awkward trying to speak English with the mom and dad.

I took a bus into the old town:

As you can see, there were almost no tourists! The rain scared everyone away, so I had most of the place to myself. Unfortunately, the rain was absorbing up my pant legs, into my shoes, and there were parts where the whole pathway was running with water (the old town was set up as drain-able... smart of them but not fun to walk through). I couldn't last too long there since I was starting to get soaked, so I grabbed a little food and headed back on the bus.

There were a couple new people at the hostel so we hung out, ate some food, and then watched some comedy. I was given some wine and brandy, and we ended up putting on Russel Peters the Canadian comedian and I laughed my ass off! I showed Ivica Mitch Hedberg as well, so I went downstairs to bed in a good mood :)
