Trip to Salona

The next day I braved the drizzle and went out and explored an adjacent towns' roman ruins. It was a whole ancient city preserved and partially grown over:

The name of the place was Salona. I had missed the bus stop at first, so I was stuck at the end of the line in this industrial part of town with the bus driver for 10 minutes or something. Sometimes I make the mistake of not asking bus drivers where to get off... I really need to do that more often! He showed me where to go on the way back, so after I walked around I was able to go to the supermarket and buy some food to make some dinner :)

I ate an old concoction called "doctored beans" mom used to make - it had been rainy so I wanted something cozy to eat. We watched more movies this night!
