Last Day in Varna, Arrival in Istanbul

My last day was spent packing and being lazy. I didn't really do all that much until right before I had to go. Stefan finished work so the roommate and I went and picked up him and Desi and went out for dinner.

Dinner had to be quick though, because I still had to change money for the border and buy my bus ticket! I made it with 15 minutes to spare or so, which was plenty for me. I hopped on the bus and got comfy for the overnight ride.

I was dozing for a while... then I realized something odd... it was snowing! The bus was driving through these rural roads all covered in snow! It stopped in the middle of nowhere when we saw another bus like ours pulled over. Some people got out to see what was going on (I guessed). The engine was turned off and the bus seemed like a designated sleeping area since it was so dark and quiet. At least half the people that were on the bus were standing outside either at our bus area or the next one. I was curious for a little while, but soon grew tired of waiting for something to happen so I decided to use the opportunity to sleep.

The bus started moving after quite some time, and it turns out we were right by the border. We all exited the bus and I got my first "visa". There was no inquiry or forms or anything. They just woke some old guy up, I gave him money, he put some stickers on, then I got it stamped. It was fast. The remainder of the bus I slept through mostly.

I arrived at some bus station type thing. I had instructions on how to get to my host's house from the bus stop she predicted me arriving at, but I had no idea if this was that bus stop. It was 6:30 am or so, and still dark. I asked someone how to get to the Metro station and she led me across the street! It took a little while to figure out how to pay for the damn thing since it didn't take visa, but once I found an ATM, then broke a bill it was easy. I arrived at Gulsah's house around 7:30am and went to sleeeeeep
