IM GETTING THERE! I still have 5 hours of battery life too, this little computer ROCKS! My little mechanical baby :D
I slept a lot the next day (Monday). I had left my feather earrings at Robin’s, and we hadn’t been able to find them yesterday because we were too drunk.
Instead or getting my stuff already missing, now my bathing suit and my sunglasses were at her place now too... so I was not inclined to go hang out in the sun.
My hair was a crazy clump from the jacuzzi and pool; I tried to fix that: it sort of worked? I can’t remember if I did much else… I know I ate lol. Talked to Joey while sitting on the couch? Paul got home and decided to not go to the movie tonight after all.
It was Minka’s dad’s birthday party that night, and that only happens once a year as opposed to twice a night.
I still wanted to go, so Levi and I made it just in time. Missed the previews, but caught all the movie. It was awesome – I was satisfied. The theatre seemed pretty old too, very flat seating.
New Orleans sucked me in so much, I didn’t realize that Monday was the last night I’d be able to go out until Levi told me so after the movie. Good thing he was paying more attention than me! I contemplated what to do while eating mexican food post movie… ended up checking out a bunch of places but since it was Monday not too much was going on. I think I went to r bar, mimi’s, dragon’s den, and then got my hoops and hula hooped on the balcony at Levi’s. I wasn't really planning on a crazy night out anyhow, so I was satisfied :)
My last day in New Orleans was mostly preporatory. I cleaned myself, my clothes, everything. Packed everything up and got things ready for the massive train ride.
I was going to have to get up at 6:30 am, when I had gone to bed at about 8:30am the previous night. I was not looking forward to it. Ugh.
I looked up what I had to do in NY to get to my new hosts, and it looked pleasantly easy! Levi and I went out for goodbye sushi, then I dropped by Robin’s to get my sunglasses and bathing suit:
MY EARRINGS HAD DISAPPEARED! I WAS/AM SOOOOOOOO SAD.
They had either been taken out of her bag at the Country Club (they were in a little bag with some money so it is plausible) or the bag had fallen out of her purse because it's one of those purses where it's easy to do that - especially drunk.
It’s so sad: I had always envisioned having them for Europe and India :( So I am now featherless. *tear* I guess could have been worse... It’s like a lesson in letting go if you look at it right. I am trying.
I tried to get to bed early, and managed to be laying down by 12:30am.
Needless to say, I felt weird at the train station at seven in the morning.
I think I will make the Train and New York it's own thaaaaang.. Goodbye New Orleans!! I will miss that place!!!
