I decided to do some touristy stuff today.
There were these tunnels build into the rock around the city, and they were super cheap to go into, so I thought hey why not that sounds pretty cool.
It was cool - literally haha. Nice escape from the summer heat.
I finished my change purse I had been making on that bridge (the last picture - I like it quite a bit) and walked back to the vendors.
I was told that there were going to be free drinks at this British bar named the Tube for an hour, so I convinced a couple people to come out to that and mow down some free beers and snacks!! It was excellent!
There was a boat party that night Simon (one of Nora's brothers) was DJ'ing on, so after free beer and returning to the square, it was time to get picked up to get to the river.
The river is the natural border separating Luxembourg with Germany to the east, in Luxembourg's eastern Wine Region. The landscape was very nice driving out to the boat! We got there just as it was getting dark :)
Look how close the boat was to the canal!!! It barely fit it was insane!
haha Simon
We were also receiving free beer on the boat because Simon's girlfriend Naomi had a badge thing!! Wahoo!!
When we arrived back it was not very late, in fact not even one I think, so we returned to the tube to meet up with friends! It was packed and crazy - balloons, DJ, etc - it was their ten year anniversary hence the free beer earlier. I met up with a French guy I had talked to at the bluegrass band and ended up going back there.

Hungarian Bluegrass Band
This day was a catchup day on the computer! I took my time at the house typing away, (I am really behind again though - feels like I will never catch up on this thing!) went to the supermarket, and my new debit card arrived!
It was so fast! There is a chip on it, which is exciting!
I was eager to use it, so after some more typing I went into the city to mail things, and take out some cash.
IT DIDN'T WORK STILL
AAAHRHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG
Well that was not a good feeling. I still had cash from the earrings, but it was getting frustrating.
I went back to the house to make food, and Nora came back to take a nap before going out. Tonight there was a bluegrass band at a bar in the Grund (old town in the valley) and she wanted to sleep before. I was still in computer mode so I stayed online researching debit card issues until it was time to wake her up to go.
We were going to drive down, but there was a big thing going on in the city because of the Tour de France.
Parking was going to be a nightmare plus road closures were possible, so we opted for the bus and decided to walk through the chaos and check it out...
Then escaped the chaos and went to the Grund
I have videos of the band too:
They were super good! So good in fact, that we intentionally missed the last bus. We decided if we need to since there's two of us, we can hitchhike up.
After they stopped playing, we ended up talking to a few people. Two of them ended up offering to give us a ride home! They were quite nice! It was a good ending to a good night.

Moby and hat Pins
After getting back after 4 the previous night, sleep was in order. I woke up without a hangover from drinking so much water the night before (I ran out of beer waiting for the ride) so I got up and walked down to the vendor area. I finally had spare cash so I went to the craft store to pick a couple things up to try new stuff! I made a hat pin or two, gave one to Marco in exchange for a necklace :)
I also brought my hula hoops to the square, and befriended this little Portuguese girl that really liked the hoops. She didn't speak English and my Portuguese knowledge is like three words so it was interesting communicating! She was absolutely adorable though, and all the other vendors speak Portuguese so I was able to ask if things were too confusing :)
Now for the next part I must explain something from last night...
While people were fishing strangers off of the street from the balcony to come party, they succeeded in catching two girls... that ended up being one of the two violinists and the bass player for Moby! He was playing in Luxembourg on the 29th and they were looking around the city for something fun and chanced upon the birthday party (don't think there was much else going on it was a Tuesday night)!!
We talked and they invited a bunch of us onto the guest list! So eight of us were now going to Moby for free! Cool!
So Nora and I headed out on the bus together! We met up with a few of the other people there, and soon enough it was showtime :)
The show was sold out - packed to the brim. My hula's were collapsed but a bit of a pain to move with in a crowd. Luckily I found a squished spot where I could see everything and sweated my way through the show! It was better than I thought it would be even - the singers were unbelievable! Plus they jammed out, played a couple good covers (hey babe... take a walk on the wild side...) and overall were really good!!
We managed to even catch the last bus back which is awesome! We weren't really feeling like partying, so we chilled out at the house :) Good times!

Earrings for Food and A Birthday Party!
Tuesday I tried using the bank card at stores to see if that would work - to no avail. The thing was useless. Grrrr.
I went to the vendors with motivation to sell: if I sold something, I didn't have to eat somewhere gross like Quick/McDonalds where they accept my credit card. Fabio dropped by, it was his birthday that night and he was having a party! I tried to buy stuff at the craft store but I wasn't buying enough to use the visa and of course my debit wouldn't work. Fantastic. Well I used what I had. At least it was a nice walk.
After a while of hanging out there, I ended up going for a walk around the city. Nora had recommended taking a stroll around a certain area and I decided yeah... might as well do that!!
It was a good idea. Very Pretty :D
I came back quite satisfied! A couple of us went to the supermarket when I got back to get beer before the supermarket closed.... and ran into Nora picking up snacks!
My stuff was still on the streets, so she went to the party and I went back and ended up having a beer, and talking to people that came by to look at the wares. It was warm and relaxing selling my stuff, and my six pack made a nice seat! Eventually I felt like walking the one and a half blocks to this birthday party, so I jetted off... This is where I left:
There are loads of photos from the party:
It was good times! Unfortunately, I was waiting for a ride for a while after I was already tired and ready to leave (no more bus and Nora had her bike so had cycled home to survive work the following morning) so I got grumpy towards the end of the night... but it was time for the guy to sober up so I mean it's for the best. I got home eventually haha. Snuck in and went to sleep!
