So there was a birthday party going on this day for a couchsurfer, Victoria! Amazingly, I got up in time to go have a look at some of the murals in the city before we headed out to that :)
I was being very lazy with my picture taking, so there were tons more that I saw but didn't take photos of since I was too lazy to get out of the car. Plus I didn't want to make Kilian stop every five minutes and wait when there are TONS of photos of these murals in the Flickr group dedicated to Belfast Murals...
You can see it Here
As you can see, pretty emotionally charged stuff. It was so interesting!
Next we were off to Victoria's, which was an apartment in the middle of the city. She also lived with an Aussie woman named Natalie. There were already people there when we got there, and lots of yummy food! There was street theater performances going on at a certain time, so after a few hours of hanging out, I went to meet Kilian and Michael
down the street (they had left an hour before to catch both performances).
I got a little lost but came across this pretty clock, which was quite nice.
I found them and Kilian ended up going up as a volunteer! They had to play a game where she would suck on a playing card piece to keep it against her mouth and then pass it to the next person... it looks like you are kissing basically. The second picture Kilian is trying to take the card from her lol.
We came back and this story turned into a game where you go and bite an apple in a circle. It gets trickier as the apple gets smaller, but it was entertaining because females were outnumbered by males, and they were laughing a lot and that is not good with an apple in your mouth... We introduced Robert to Buckfast and Tayto's... both Irish necessities... kind of like Frito's and Baby Duck back home...
After a few more drinks, there was pressure to do some hula hooping... a performance was more or less demanded, so I went out side and showed everyone a few things...
Rob took several videos of it and put them on Youtube, so I have linked them here... hopefully won't slow down the loading tooooo much!
We ended up there until late-ish, and took a cab back to the house. So much food was eaten though, I wasn't worried when I went to bed... just happy!
