Epic London Sightseeing + Punk Show

My first day in London was packed.

I made a lunch because I knew I would be out all day... and I was.

First I walked to the tube station Snaresbrook. Anne lives in a lovely neighborhood in Waltham forest!

I bought an Oyster card with unlimited travel for a week. It was a bit pricey, but I knew I would use it a LOT since I was not in the center and London is massive. I hopped of where Anne suggested at St. Paul's Cathedral...

I walked over the bridge

to the Tate Modern.
This was the craziest art museum/gallery/thing I have been in! I loved it! I was getting lightheaded spells still though, so I took my time and sat down on the benches. The art itself was contemporary, but good. Sometimes I am really not a fan of modern art, but a lot of this stuff I really really liked. Some of the paintings I wanted to take with me.

It was a big place, but I got through it!

There was no photography allowed.

I ate my sandwich outside and went back towards the city. I started to wander in the general direction of Buckingham Palace...

It was here at the canal looking at that building that I met up with Owen. I had met Owen in New Orleans the one night I stayed at the hostel. His girlfriend (now ex) had dated a friend of mine in San Francisco. Anyhow, he was welcoming me to London by taking me to see the Bouncing Souls! I had no idea they were still around! It was their 20 year anniversary tour. We were going to meet up with people and go for dinner first, so we headed to the tube.

The thing was packed, but by all odds we ran into someone getting on the tube that we were going to meet up with for dinner and the show! Crazy! We met with more people and we headed to yummy cheap veggie food and a pub for pre drinks... then another pub for more pre-drinks after food... then we were at the show!

I had been texting David (friend from home that moved to London) and he was going to come down as well... so sure enough he shows up and we begin to catch up! I had paid for a ticket to make sure it didn't sell out, and he paid me back in beer.

After this (the show ended early) I wanted more beer haha. So off we were to the pub... it was going to be too late for me to get back to where I was staying, so I ended up sleeping in a converted warehouse district in a tree fort bed! The place was rad; for a warehouse it was cleaner and more cozy than expected :)
