First Ryanair Trip (to London)

The beginning of any travel day usually consists of packing (if there is time to do it the day of). That is exactly what I was doing. Frantically putting everything in my bag, printing tickets, looking at departure times, all that fun stuff. I also needed to get to that store before leaving, so that was an additional thing to take into account.

I left at a decent time, and managed to get to the shop no problem... it was interesting fitting myself through the door with my backpack! Next up was the bus to Dublin.

Yes, I flew from Dublin instead of Belfast... there was a super cheap flight on Ryanair's website for 1 euro... so I payed total with tax and bag... 16 euro. The bus was 12 pound, so total that was cheaper than the flight from Belfast so I took it. I don't mind buses at this point anyhow. I made it, bought a ticket, and next thing I knew I was at the airport.

Ryanair is not known for it's service, so I came prepared for fighting my way through the airport... I think because I was expecting nothing but problems it went smoother than anticipated. The two people in line were very pissed off about only getting one bag including a purse in carry-on.... my bag was too heavy so I put my books in my carry on/reusable shopping bag and made it without extra charge yay!

I had no problems getting on the plane, and here's the real kicker...

I wasn't even asked where I was going! No one on the London side of things even looked at my Passport!!! WTF this was supposed to be the hardest airport to deal with!! I'm told that because I came in on a late flight from Ireland they don't really worry or check. It's Ireland. I was so shocked! I felt.... stunned. In a good way.

Anne, my lovely second cousin, was at the airport already! It was a half hour drive back to the place. The place itself is a flat above a prep/private school. It is a beautiful old school, and the flat very nice too :)

One of her two flatmates was not going to be around for a few days too, so I had a bedroom all to myself! I felt so cozy! I managed to sleep fairly early from the traveling and comfort :)
