I managed to wake up the next day!
I was proud about not actually doing too bad! I got some food, and decided to try finding one of the addresses I was given for where my Grandmother used to live... since I now had lots of time to get lost hehe :)
I walked into town to where most buses left from. It was surprisingly easy to find the right bus, since I had a bus map and Google to help...
I ended up getting a weekly pass since it was so cheap! I went to the stop, and the bus led me straight to the complex. Not only was it the last stop, but there was always a bus waiting before it went back so I never felt stranded.
Here is the street...
I have to save the picture of "the" house though, because during this round I actually mixed up the number of the house and took a picture of the wrong one haha. Whoops! Ah well I felt satisfied at that moment anyhow, all the houses were pretty much the same in the complex, and now I had unlimited bus travel.
On the way back I got off the bus around Queen's University and the Botanical Gardens. It was a nice day out again (been so lucky with weather) so here are some photos!
Here is the outside of a Cemetery...
After the gardens I walked along the canal, then up and back into the city.
I walked by a hair salon in the same building as a tattoo parlor, and decided that I'd ask about a bang trim...
The place was rad! And she was happy to trim my "fringe" for free, as they say it out there :)
Because of the early start, I still had tons of time!
I decided to get my money's worth of the bus pass and hopped on a random bus. I ended up chilling on that for a bit (most of the buses here are double-decker too!) until my bladder informed me I would have to stop at this mall thing. I came back out, and there was a totally different bus that would take me back, so I would be doing a circle!
Now I can only type so much about this for now, but I passed by a store I had looked up online on this bus route. It seemed too far away though, and I had no idea how to get there so I had given up! There it was! I pushed the stop button and flew into the store! It was awesome. The shopkeeper actually had relatives in BC... knew of Qualicum Beach which was so random. We chatted it up for a bit!
I was so excited about my new purchases that when I got back to the city center I ended up parking my ass in a seemingly popular grass area in front of city hall (by the giant Ferris Wheel from the pictures ). I wanted to start investigating it right away, but ended up falling asleep in the sun. I was awoken by my phone, so I walked back to Anthony's. We relocated to a park where I did pretty much the same...
There was a grocery store on the way back, so we stopped there. I stocked up on food and we ended up just chilling at the house for the rest of the night... Anthony had to wake up early-ish for work, and I was still key less so I was going to have another full day!
I ended up starting this early day the same as the last - going and taking a picture of the right house..
Ta Da!
I had been invited by someone from CS to tag along with him and a couple friends going up to the Giant's Causeway today! I headed back into town and still had some time before he was coming to pick me up, so I chilled around the University (the meet point) until it was time to go!
Anthony was going to not be around for tonight and the next night, but Victoria and Nat said it was fine that I crashed at theirs for these two nights... So I had my purse stuffed with stuff and left my bag at Anthony's (so much easier as I was coming back after). One thing I did not think to bring though was a camera battery charger....
You can probably see where I am going with this....
It died a few pictures in... so I don't even have pictures of the crazy rock formations!!!!
On the other hand, two of the three people were pro photographers that brought fancy cameras and were mostly going to take pictures... so hopefully I can get a few emailed to me (maybe even with me in them!) and they will be better anyhow...
It was beautiful out there!
On the drive up we stopped in Bushmills... I saw the outside of the distillery... The coast and countryside were beautiful :) We ended up falling asleep on the rocks of Giant's Causeway!!
Soon enough it was time for me to take the bus back (they were staying out in Bushmills for the night) so I hopped on the bus, and went off on a leisurely journey back. I had a couple stopovers, but it was kind of nice :) I was in no rush.
I arrived back in Belfast in the early evening (the time went by quick)... Victoria was home so I came over, and we hung out in the house for a bit! Natalie was staying at a friend's house for a couple nights, so she was letting me sleep in her bed for the two nights, aaaaand there was a pub meet thingy that night for cs :) Victoria was too tired to go with work and all, but it was only a couple blocks away so I headed down to the pub.
There was a decent turnout, quite a few I recognized from Victoria's party too! It was a good time; most of us were there until close :) I only had two blocks to walk afterward too, so it was an easy and safe walk home.
