The next day consisted of showering, eating, packing, checking interwebz, and then off I went! I hopped on a bus that went into town with my backpack and all. It took me right downtown, and it wasn't long before I found the tourist center and started looking at maps and tours and such...
I was still in there when Anthony called, so we met at the bus station, I got some food, and we walked back to his house! He lives in a very very very loyalist neighborhood called the Village. It was easy to find his street because it was full of flags... he did warn me that it has a bad reputation, but he'd lived there for quite a while and has never had any troubles. I didn't feel unsafe!
It was still such a nice day out, so I ditched the pack and we went up this big mountain hill park thing. I forget the name of it, but you could see the whole city - it was fantastic!
After this excursion, we went to one of his friend's houses that lived five minutes down the road. We hung out there for the night, until it was time to go back since Anthony had to work the next day, and he didn't have a key cut yet so I was going to also have to get up early... it had been a while since I'd had to get up at any time at all, so I was wondering how my body would cope! On the other hand I was thinking about how much time I was going to have to do stuff the next day... it's like having two of my normal days put together!
